i was sitting there on the couch sweating as the hot air danced up and down my skin. bringing that poison to my mouth and lighting it, i wondered how long i had to live - whether my death would anyway be related to the bad habits i had picked up through my lifetime. as the nicotine began to oxidize at a hurried pace, i inhaled, filling my lungs with that pleasurable gaseous death. the sun was beginning to rise - i could see its long arms desperately trying to reach over the hills, it's impending arrival signaled by the bluish tint that was beginning to fill the dark sky. i cursed and mumbled to myself for having let my overactive mind get the better of me again.

monday, july 8!

i've been keeping myself busy. i just got back from toronto a couple of days ago, which was quite fun. it's always nice to see some old faces, and meeting new ones. the city was as vibrant as ever, and besides being a little stinky (apparently those crazy sanitary engineers were on strike) it was quite a pleasant experience visiting the place of my birth.

i've also been able to occupy myself with other distractions - eternal darkness has been quite a welcome one. i've spent quite a few hours with my old friend nintendo, and i've walked away with a very satisfied feeling. i better have, since i've finished the damn thing three times. and no, not that great sex satisfied feeling but more like a finishing a great book feeling. if you're a videogame junkie and have a gamecube, this is definitely a must have. hell, this game might be reason enough to buy a gamecube if you don't already have one. it might be reason enough to become a videogame junkie. heh.

i watched two movies in the past two weeks: minority report and men in black 2. i was quite fond of the former - i could totally get into the bluish-tech feeling of the movie, and even though it was sometimes a little difficult to take tom cruise seriously, it was a rather enjoyable movie. having it based on a short story by philip k. dick doesn't hurt either. the later was absolutely forgettable. the shock pair-up of smith and jones just didn't work for me this time around, and besides it took so long to get to jones in the first place. see it, but only at cheap-o hour... wait, even then it wouldn't be worth it.

work with the rest of the site is coming along. i've had a number of projects work and non-work related that have been keeping me busy. i'll be posting some of my non-work stuff up soon (maybe even some work stuff, but i'm so shy about that stuff, so we'll see...) so be on the look out.

so i uploaded a bunch of old stuff yesterday. i believe the only things missing are the link and info pages, which will hopefully be done today. i'm also diligently working on getting somnific.com up and running, as well as a few other side projects, including valueneutral.com.

woah, this the most i've been motivated to do web stuff in a long time.
